We're devoted to you reaching your peak!
We are a locally-owned private practice group that is located in Orange, VA. We owned and operated a clinic for over 13 years in Charlottesville, Va. After we left private practice, we missed the connection with community. We learned that there is a difference between words and action. Larger companies seem to be great at promises, but poor at delivery. We intend to recommit our resources to helping the patients and communities we serve.
Our private practice business model is unique. It is patient, community and therapist centric, meaning we focus our energy on you and our impact on the community and education of our therapists. As such, we are different than a large company and we do not have layers of employees or investors. Our focus is squarely on creating an environment which promotes relationships between patients, employees and the community in which we serve.
We are excited to announce that James will begin a new collaboration with UVA Outpatient Rehabilitation as the Director of Outpatient Therapy. He will remain involved with Pinnacle Physical Therapy as an advisor. His new role will be primarily administrative and to help with their operational growth. It will be a huge shift from patient care, but will allow him to fulfill a longtime dream to work in this setting. Pinnacle will continue to be the leading provider of physical therapy in the region. We have hired another therapist to fill his caseload and can’t wait for you to meet him. Stay tuned and thank you for your support.
We are excited to welcome Joseph Cornett, PT, DPT to Pinnacle Physical Therapy! Prior to Joe joining the Pinnacle team, he worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings and brings to us expertise in multiple patient populations including cardiopulmonary, transplant, geriatric, oncology, hematology, sports medicine, general medicine, neurology, and orthopedic. In his spare time, he and his wife enjoy hiking, traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with their two dogs. We are thrilled to have Joe be a part of Pinnacle Physical Therapy family!
David graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia in 2011 with a Bachelor of Art in History and a Bachelor of Science in Social Studies Education. He worked a few different jobs before discovering a love for physical therapy, and he returned to school in 2017. He graduated from Georgia State University in 2020 with his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. When he graduated, David was awarded the Keystone Award, a class Leadership Award, and was inducted into the Alpha Eta National Honors Society in Health Professions for recognition of his time, effort, and success at Georgia State. Prior to David joining the Pinnacle team, he worked in a wide variety of settings including inpatient in a hospital setting, inpatient rehab, skilled nursing, and outpatient. He has also worked with a variety of patient populations including sports orthopedics, general orthopedics, geriatrics, neurologic (including spinal cord injury rehabilitation), cancer and oncology, dementia, and general medicine. This wide variety of experiences gives David a large base of knowledge to pull from, but ultimately, no matter the patient or setting, he seeks to build a personal connection and use his skills to help each patient reach their rehab goals. In his spare time, you can find David and his wife doing CrossFit, hiking and enjoying the outdoors, completing escape rooms, or hanging out at home with their snuggly cat.
Jordyn graduated Summa Cum Laude from Shenandoah University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in 2020. She continued her education at Shenandoah University where she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2023. Prior to and during physical therapy school, Jordyn gained experience working in multiple settings and with a variety of patient populations, including general and sports orthopedics, acute and intensive care, neurology, cardiopulmonary, geriatrics, and pelvic health. Her favorite thing about being a physical therapist is watching her patients return to performing the activities they love with less pain and difficulty! Outside of the clinic, Jordyn can be found hiking with her fiancé, doing crafts and other DIY projects, cheering on Baltimore sports teams, or cuddling with her mini Goldendoodle, Camden (go Orioles)!
